In a move signaling renewed administrative momentum, the Governing Council of Achievers University, Owo, has ratified the appointment of Mr. Sulaiman Adebayo Olagunju as the institution’s fourth Registrar. The decision was reached at the Council’s 40th meeting on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Mr. Olagunju’s elevation, according to the university’s leadership, reflects the Council’s confidence in his capacity to consolidate ongoing institutional reforms and enhance service delivery across departments.
A veteran university administrator and communication professional, Olagunju joined Achievers University in 2008 as Senior Assistant Registrar (Media)/Public Relations Officer and has since risen through the ranks, serving as College Secretary, Principal Assistant Registrar, and most recently Deputy Registrar.
His earlier professional stints in the Federal Civil Service and Tell Communications Limited—where he was Head of Copy Desk—further demonstrate a career rooted in diligence and versatility.
Mr. Olagunju holds degrees from the University of Ilorin, the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, and Babcock University. He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
In congratulating him, the Management of Achievers University described his appointment as “a consolidation of excellence and loyalty.” The institution noted that his tenure would be pivotal in sustaining the culture of discipline, innovation, and professionalism that defines Achievers University.
