The Odubanjo Regional Superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Gideon Obiwale, has urged Christians to remain steadfast in faith, emphasizing that God has the power to revive situations that may seem completely lost.
He delivered this message on Saturday, November 22, 2025, during the induction service of the Akungba Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Pius Olajide, and his wife, Dr. Esther Olajide, held at the Oke-Isegun Zonal Headquarters in Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.
Preaching on the theme, “Dry Bones Shall Rise Again,” Pastor Obiwale reminded the congregation that no situation is too hopeless for God to restore, citing Ezekiel 37:1-10 as a scriptural example. He urged Christians to hold tightly to God, regardless of personal challenges or societal circumstances.
The Regional Superintendent also called on church members to support the newly inducted Zonal Superintendent to ensure both spiritual and infrastructural growth within the church.
Responding to his induction, Pastor Olajide described Pastor Obiwale as an exemplary leader and a source of personal inspiration, noting that his guidance has shaped his approach to pastoral duties. He further appealed to Christians to remain vigilant and prayerful, condemning recent attacks on Christians, including the assault on a CAC congregation in Eruku, Kwara State.
“May the Lord console the families of the victims and grant them the grace to endure this loss. I urge all Christians to remain prayerful concerning the challenges facing our nation. If we keep our faith alive, we shall be victorious in the end,” Pastor Olajide said.
Expressing gratitude for the trust placed in him, Pastor Olajide pledged to lead the zone with dedication, wisdom, and faithfulness.
In his goodwill message, the Church Secretary, Elder Tomisin Babaleye, commended Pastor Olajide for his remarkable impact on the church. “It is rare to witness such transformation in a church community in such a short period. Through God’s grace and the leadership of this humble servant, we have experienced both spiritual and physical growth,” Babaleye said, praying for God to grant him wisdom and strength to advance the church further.
Elder (Dr.) Michael Ayeerun, a former Registrar of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, described the induction ceremony as the culmination of Pastor Olajide’s dedication, integrity, and commitment to God’s work. He hailed the new Zonal Superintendent as a man of prayer and an anointed leader whose appointment has been embraced by all members.
The service attracted clerics and dignitaries from across the region, including D/S Pastors Kayode Awe and Toluwalase Ehinola; Pastors Babatope Ojo, C. O. Adelabu, Tunde Ekunniyi, David Ademola, Olu Oyewole, and Emmanuel Otunlape; as well as Evangelists Olorunosebi Anjorin and Victor Atunramu, among others.
