Gov Aiyedatiwa’s CPS Extends Support to Widows in Media

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Friday presented the third edition of the educational support fund for children of late journalists and female journalists who are widows in the state.

While the first and second editions benefited ten and eleven recipients, respectively, the third edition has expanded to include twelve beneficiaries, each receiving ₦50,000 as academic support for the second term of the current school session.

Presenting a cheque of ₦600,000 to the Chairperson of the Ondo State Council of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Tola Gbadamosi, Prince Adeniyan emphasized that the initiative reflects Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to supporting media practitioners in the state.

In her remarks, Gbadamosi praised Governor Aiyedatiwa and the CPS for their continued dedication to the welfare of journalists and media organizations in Ondo State.
